St Mark’s Catholic Primary School
The first Catholic school was established by Brigidine Sisters at a home in Jacks Avenue in 1969. Before that, those who wanted a Catholic education had to travel out of the area.

Eventually the Sisters obtained land in Dimar Court and obtained a portable classroom to commence the new school in 1974 with 31 students. The school was later taken over by the Parish and has developed to over 400 students in 2011.
